The Moosette™ has been designed for the Roots, Blues, Surf, Country, Jazz or Rock player who needs a great reverb combo capable of stellar clean tones and a killer grind at all volume levels. This amp has such a lush output it works well in the role of acoustic guitar amp too! We've also just added a 1/2 power switch on the chassis reducing the wattage using the EL34 and permitting the use of a 6V6 as an option with a much lower output. We've rated this amp at 15 watts totally clean. Plate dissipation is actually 20 watts maximum. The preamp features the same control set found on our Gypsy's "Normal" channel (Drive, 6 position Voice switch, Treble, Mids, Bass and Volume) as well as an all tube, transformer driven Accutronics spring reverb. We have 3 different reverb tanks to choose from offering various decay rates to suit your playing style. Additionally, we have included a control for "Reverb Drive" which is hidden behind the speaker grill. Use this to tune the reverb for everything from a clean ambience to outright slap and sproing ! The Moosette™ is able to accommodate a single 10" or 12" speaker. Our stock model uses a 12" Alnico Jensen P12Q. The single channel preamp uses a pair of ECC83S (12AX7) tubes and an ECC81 (12AT7). Output yield is up to 20 watts though a single EL34 output tube. Like our Gypsy™, the Moosette™ also uses a tube rectifier (5Y3). Lower gain profiles can easily be realized by swapping the first preamp tube to either a 12AY7, ECC81 (12AT7) or ECC82 (12AU7). Lower wattages may be realized by flipping the BIAS switch to "cold" and by swapping the EL34 for a 6V6. We chose to finish the Moosette's 3/4" Baltic Birch ply cabinet with Merlot stain and a clear coat. We call this our "ready for the cabin" finish. Measuring in at under 20" x 20" x 12" and weighing 47 pounds, the Moosette is easy to carry in one hand. The Moosette's flight case features a pull-out handle and recessed wheels making it easy to pull around ! The case measures 23" x 25" x 18". Shipping weight with amp is 95 pounds.
